True Temp LLC had the wonderful opportunity of being interviewed by the City of Port Saint Lucie, the SBDC along with Indian River State College and WPBF News Channel 25. Regarding the success they had with a local community program which is offered to small business owners here in our area through the City of Port Saint Lucie and SBDC. The program is a 9 to 12 week course titled the Business Accelerator Program and provides multiple courses for small business owners to teach them the skills required to be successful here in our community of Port Saint Lucie. The business owners of True Temp took part in this amazing program a few years ago and this is where they gained a foundation of small business ownership skills. The program is taught by a number of professionals who all have experience in small business ownership and customer service related to small businesses. The classes range from a variety of topics including customer service relations, understanding financial reports, the importance of hiring employees, and time management skills. At the end of the Business Accelerator Program there is a small business grant that is offered to each small business that has participated and completed the course in its entirety. True Temp was able to take advantage of this amazing opportunity and to this day is still affiliated with the program and helping existing class members understand the benefits and successes this program offers.
True Temp was definitely honored when they were requested to be part of the News Channel 25 WPBF interview as a graduate of the class and to be able to share the success of the company with supporters and the community. The interview took place at the Indian River State College campus located here in Saint Lucie West along with the SBDC and the City of Port Saint Lucie. Kimberly with True Temp Air Conditioning participated in the interview and answered various questions related to the program and explained the benefits the program has for small business owners. After the interview was held, News Channel 25 WPBF, requested if they could visit the True Temp office location and warehouse to take a few videos and photos of their current accomplishments. During this time, Edwin with True Temp participated in explaining and sharing some of the technical practices of the air conditioning trade.
The interview was aired on Wednesday August 24th during the five o’clock news. True Temp could not be more appreciative of the opportunity to take place in the Business Accelerator Program along with all of the support that it has received from the City of Port St Lucie and the Small Business Development Center throughout the recent years.
