A diagnostic fee covers the expense of our trained, experienced, service technicians to travel to your home or office which includes time, fuel, and use of the company vehicle. Upon arrival the technician will spend time with you to get a better understanding of the issues you are having with the air conditioning system. The technician will then troubleshoot and determine what the issue is with your air conditioning system, this may take a few minutes to a few hours depending on the extent of the issue. Once the issue is determined an estimate will be prepared and options will be provided. A typical diagnostic fee for an air conditioning company to charge could range from $70 to $120 per diagnostic and of course depending on your location and if this is an emergency call or during regular business hours. Each A/C company sets their diagnostic fees differently so you may find this will differ throughout.
Can you fix the issue the same day?
True Temp has service vehicles on the road every day and we work hard to keep a stock of all major common parts for air conditioning systems in both our vehicles and our warehouse. In many cases, yes, the issue can be fixed and resolved the same day or while on site. We can get your system back up and running but in some cases we may need to travel to our local supplier to pick up a required part that we may not have in stock. In some other cases, due to equipment shortages or warranty related parts we may find a lead time on getting parts but you can be assured that we will do our best to get your air conditioning back up and running as soon as possible. For situations where the A/C may be down for a few days, we offer free temporary systems to help keep you cool during the process.
